Mother's Heart Beat Strong

Victorian Garden

Mother had a heart murmur since the birth of one of my siblings, not sure which one, but she never slowed down until the year before she went home to heaven. Her motto was "there's always somebody worse off than you, so be thankful for what you have".
She walked a dreary, dark path at times and almost ended her life at one point by walking out on the pier, intending to jump in. But, the love for her children and the love of God stopped her. I often think of that story and how tearful and distant she would get as she relived that difficult time in her life.

She was going through a very difficult time in her life and felt like the only way out was to check out, she often bore the burdens alone and this time she felt alone. She began to think of her children, husband and family as she walked that dark path to the water. The love she had for them overwhelmed her and she know that God was with her at that moment and she turned around to face the trial with His help. She shared many testimonies of how God brought her through every trial and to keep faith in Him no matter what. I'm so glad she shared her painful journey with me as I vividly see and hear her telling me how God saved her in her darkest hour. She now beholds the face of the One who walked that path before her and me. Thank you, Lord.

"We Shall Behold Him"

The sky shall unfold
Preparing His entrance
The stars shall applaud Him
With thunders of praise

The sweet light in His eyes, shall enhance those awaiting
And we shall behold Him, then face to face

O we shall behold Him, we shall behold Him
Face to face in all of His glory
O we shall behold Him, yes we shall behold Him
Face to face, our Savior and Lord

The angel will sound, the shout of His coming
And the sleeping shall rise, from there slumbering place
And those remaining, shall be changed in a moment
And we shall behold him, then face to face

We shall behold Him, o yes we shall behold Him
Face to face in all of His glory
We shall behold Him, face to face
Our Savior and Lord
We shall behold Him, our Savior and Lord
Savior and Lord!
Homecoming
